Catholic Priest believes that blacks, lesbians are equivalent to animals

Sodakmonk says:

If only the new pope could have been a black, vegetarian, lesbian etc. etc. etc. Personally, I think farm animals should be admitted to the College of Cardinals. End speciesism now!

This is high-noon for the conservatives. Emboldened by Pope Benedict, they can say what they truly feel.

Read a few of his other posts, if you have the stomach for it.

I think the man is mentally ill.

I noticed the same thing among evangelicals after Bush was re-elected. On Nov 3rd, the hate language (against homosexuals, the UN, the media, etc) began from pulpits around North America (we, in Canada, are not immune to angry, "emboldened," conservative Christians, unfortunately).

The questions for this new pope is: how will he handle the lunatic fringe from his side of the social and theological spectrum. Will he be as tough on conservatives who "distort" the faith as he was on moderates and liberals when he was Prefect of DofF?

That individual is so disturbed it's frightening. I can only wonder why he's been relegated to the desolate wasteland that is South Dakota, and sent to a monestary, at that. One sincerely hopes he's not allowed contact with children. One imagines he probably isn't, and one can probably guess the reason why.

Does anyone have actual proof that he is a real priest? I just became aware of his site and I refuse to believe that a priest would speak like this.

I think he is an imposter trying to give Catholics a bad name.

The links to the monastary all seem real. I think I'm going to write a letter or put in a call to his abbot, and then to whichever of the SD dioceses he belongs to. There's an underlying tone to his words that I find particularly creepy. He's not quite right in the head, I don't think.

He's said some pretty awful stuff in the past, but you know how it goes, the usual happy bloggers latch on to him because he's a priest (or so he says) and they can kiss some priest butt by oohing and ahing over his "orthodoxy".

Racism, sexism, bigotry, hate and narcissim are not orthodox...but try telling your average "orthodox" Catholic that...

~sigh~
