Making Films About John Kerry
Blogger Cindy Windmiller has been busy producing her own short features, complete with music, on why John Kerry should be the next President of the United States. Here's what Cindy has to say about her work:

***************

Over the last six months I have spend countless hours taking part in a conversation with many other Americans who are, like me, angry and saddened with the direction of our country under President Bush. I listened to so many people write and speak passionately about who they thought would be the best person to lead America over the coming years.

For me, this person is John Kerry, not only because I agree with his ideas. My family is struggling under Bush and Kerry gives me hope that taking care of my children will get a little bit easier when he is President. I want to once again feel like the leaders of this country are on my side.

After watching so many others take part in the fight to elect a new President, I decided to create something that might make others see this fight the way that I do. I started by getting on the johnkerry.com website and listening to the speeches that John Kerry had given expressing his vision and used a program called Wiretap to record them into a Quicktime movie file. I then compiled a collection of images that best illustrated the themes of the speeches and brought it all together with good music in a program called Final Cut Pro.

With this great video editing tool I created a series of short films that I call "Why John Kerry in 2004". I hope that the films make you laugh, smile and think about this opportunity we have to make the coming months , not only George W Bush's last months in office, but the months when we help elect a man who has faith in our ability to make this country great once again. I hope also that they will inspire you to use your creative abilites to show others what you are fighting for in this election.

Sincerely, Cynthia Windmiller
