I saw a young dude wearing a T-shirt with Lenin on it. Yes, that Lenin. Although the picture looked like Stalin. Talk about utter revulsion. That's is skinhead type provocation. Lenin ranks with Hitler and company as evil people of the 20th century. BTW, this was a black dude wearing the T shirt. Brothers better not start a trend here, or I might just have to give them a smack down.

In another piece of Lenin news, I guess, in the past few years, there has been quite a bit of Lenin nostalgia in Russia. They long for the days when the Soviet Union was feared and respected. This has been one of the dangers of the end of the Cold War, our policies has trampled on Russia, especially the pig-headed policies of GWB. Russian is a delicate case. They are not a super power any longer, but we still have to stroke their egos. The latest spat has been the Ukraine issue. G W Bu$h inserted himself publically into a regional issue and pitted himself against Putin on Putin's turf. Of course, Putin doesn't like it and told the US off, basically telling Bush to fix his voting irregularities log-in-the-eye, before mouting off about other people's voting problems.

I'm not a big fan of the fast collapse of the USSR, those things never go well. I wish it had been more gradual, like a China situation, where it slowly transitioned to democracy and capitalism. Right now, Democracy has failed the Russians, in their minds, and don't tell them anything about it taking 200 years in America, they want results now. Well, Putin with Bu$h's help will see to it that they do not waste a minute more than necessary with Democracy.
